Honolulu

I always, ALWAYS, stay at The Sheraton Waikiki - A world class resort hotel located in the middle of world famous Waikiki Beach - go on, spoil yourself

When you are in Hawaii, you can catch my reports on KGMB TV Channel 9

And if you like golf ....

All of this is really just barely scraping the surface.

Hawaii is an incredibly beautiful and fascinating place filled with a truly cosmopolitan mix of people from all over the world.
But probably the greatest thing about Hawaii is the spirit of Aloha shared by the people who live there.
So let me leave you with a Hawaiian goodbye - until we meet again ....
Aloha, a hui hou!

Here are my Top 10 things I love about being in Hawaii!

1. Waking up in Hawaii - The smell of fresh ocean air mixed with tropical flowers

2. Sunset at Maili - One of this worlds truly beautiful sights

3. Cookout at Ala Moana Beach Park - Ala Moana Beach is a large beach right in town. It is across from Ala Moana Shopping Center, and right on the edge of Waikiki - next to Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. It has a huge park area which is a favorite with local folks for picnics, jogging, and just cruising

4. Hiking to Diamond Head Lookout - a short hike from inside Diamond Head crater to the lookout on the top of the ridge, it's invigorating

5. Walking around Diamond Head - On one side the ocean view featuring surfers and wind surfers, the other side has Kapiolani Community College, Diamond Head Theater, and Monserat Avenue (try Bogarts for lunch), it's about 4.5 miles around and frequented by joggers, bicyclists, and walkers like me

6. Body surfing at Waimanalo Beach - What a ride (not for the faint of heart) the adrenaline rush will last for days

7. Picnic at Waimea Bay or Exploring Waimea Falls Park

8. Shave Ice from Matsumoto's in Haliewa

9. Windsurfing at Kailua Beach - this is where the world's best live and play, yet there are rental boards and lessons for beginners - check it out

10. Moonlight dinner at Roy's in Hawaii Kai - The food at Roy's is incredible, or as the locals would say "it will broke your mouth", and it is as beautifuly served as it is tasty - highly recommended
